At A Unique Task, we bring together all the systems within your residential dwelling and assess them meticulously, adhering to the high standards set by ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors). We understand that your home is your haven, and our commitment is to ensure its safety and quality.
What to Expect:
-
Visual Systems Awareness: During the inspection, our experienced inspector will walk you through the visual systems that we evaluate. We believe in transparency, and we're here to provide answers to your questions on-site.
-
Detailed Reporting: Within 24 hours of the inspection, you'll receive a comprehensive physical report. This report includes digital photos, records of visible defects, descriptive conditions, and the implications of any issues we identify. Safety concerns that are visible during the inspection are also highlighted.
-
Your Presence Matters: While we encourage you to be present during the inspection, we understand that sometimes it's not possible. Rest assured, even if you can't attend, you'll receive a clear and informative report. Our lines of communication are always open for any questions you may have.
Our Approach:
-
Visual and Non-Invasive: Our inspection is non-invasive and non-destructive. We prioritize your home's integrity and safety, and we won't access areas that could cause damage or pose safety risks. Security systems and alarms are not tested to respect your privacy.
-
Comprehensive Evaluation: We leave no stone unturned when inspecting your property. We assess the roofing, exterior, structure, electrical system, and the interior of every room. We check lights, outlets, faucets, windows, doors, and more to ensure everything is in working order.
-
Mains and Valves: Please note that we won't turn on mains and valves if they're in the off position, as we won't be aware of the reasons behind it, which could lead to further issues.
-
Moving Obstructions: To limit liability, we don't move obstructions or obstacles during the inspection. We kindly ask that you ensure areas you want inspected are easily accessible.
The Inspection Process:
-
Roof and Exterior: We begin with a thorough inspection of the roof (if safe to access), followed by a detailed evaluation of the exterior, which includes windows, doors, porches, balconies, and the grounds.
-
Interior Examination: Moving inside, we continue from the attic, inspecting insulation and the roof structure. We examine every room possible, concluding on the main floor.
-
Basement Inspection: Our inspection concludes with a look at the basement, where we assess the structure (where possible), the electrical system, heating/air-conditioning systems, and plumbing.
-
Post-Inspection Recap: After the inspection, we conduct a full recap and are available to answer any questions you may have.
Pre-Inspection Requests:
-
